CURRENT STATUS

North Carolina has movd to Phase 2 of the COVID Recovery Plan beginning at 5 PM Friday, May 22nd. Restaurants, salons, barbershops, pools and camps will be allowed to open at reduced capacity.

COVID-19

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a disease that was identified in late 2019 and was declared a pandemic on March 11. COVID-19 is an international, national, North Carolina and Wayne County public health emergency.

Coronaviruses like COVID-19 are most often spread through the air by coughing or sneezing, through close personal contact (including touching and shaking hands) or through touching your nose, mouth or eyes before washing your hands.

HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF

Stay safe from the coronavirus.

Wash your Hands

Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds at a time.

Avoid Close Contact

Avoid close contact with people who are ill, gatherings limited to 10 people.

Stay Home

Stay at Home Order in effect until April 29; STAYING HOME is the BEST WAY to slow the spread.

Cover Coughs and Sneezes

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Do not reuse tissue!

Wear a Face Mask

While not required by the general public, it could you stop the spread of the virus.

Clean and Disinfect

Clean and disinfect surfaces that are frequently touched.
